Partial Vindication

The Aquila Report has posted a good summary of the situation facing Teaching Elder Jeff Meyers (here).  As one of those who signed the original letter of concern (referred to as LOC) about Rev. Meyers' theological views, I feel partially vindicated by the latest statement from the PCA Standing Judicial Commission.  In short, the SJC panel has found that Missouri Presbytery failed to act in this matter by not going to trial after conducting an investigation of his views.  This panel is remanding the case back to Missouri Presbytery with the expectation that it will go to trial.

Perhaps the outcome of that trial will be the same as what recently happened in Pacific Northwest concerning Peter Leithart (here).   If so, it will likely come before the Standing Judicial Commission for final adjudication.  That's where the Leithart case is heading in my opinion.

I hope that people do not grow weary with this process.  There is still a long way to go before we can rest.
