PCA Church Plant and Purdue University

My friend and fellow PCA minister, Adam Brice, wrote to say that he has moved to West Lafayette, Indiana to plant a PCA church in that community. His presbytery also hopes to launch a Reformed University Fellowship (RUF) at Purdue. Here is his note to me:

Dear Rev. Sarafolean,

Hello! The Ohio Valley Presbytery has recently established a PCA mission church in Lafayette/West Lafayette Indiana, and called me to serve as the church planter. My wife and I have just moved to the area this past summer, and we are beginning the work involved in starting a new church.

As you may or may not know, West Lafayette is home to Purdue University, a Big-10 university with nearly 40,000 students. My reason for this brief note today was to inform you of our plans in case you know of anyone from your church coming to Purdue this year, either as a student, faculty member, or staff.

If you will send me the contact information for anyone coming to our area this fall, our group here will do our best to welcome them, and inform them about our plans to establish a PCA church here. Our desire, Lord willing, is to begin worship services this coming Spring, and we presently have an informal Sunday evening meeting (Bible study, prayer, singing, some planning) that they would be welcome to attend.

Please don’t hesitate to contact me if I can be of any further help to you in this way. My information is below.

Warm regards,
Adam Brice, Organizing Pastor

If you know of anyone moving to that community or of a student who is looking for a good, solid church, please put them in touch with Adam.

FWIW - Adam is a graduate of Westminster Theological Seminary. He was an intern at Tenth Presbyterian Church under Dr. James Montgomery Boice. After graduation he led a group out of Tenth Presbyterian to plant a daughter church in a Philadelphia suburb.
